Family
I’ve been married to my best friend, Troy, for 33 years. I’ve been photographing maternity, newborns, and babies for over a decade and absolutely adore my job. This is my full-time career. I am a licensed and insured business as well as being a member of local and global professional organizations, including Professional Photographers of America, Expertise, and Newborn Photography.
Aside from work stuff I am a wife and mother to two children – Kayla (son-in-law Dan) and Troy and grandmother to Everly and Ella.

the studio experience
Take the stress out of trying to figure out what everyone will wear. Each session includes a styling information. You can also browse through my client closet and use one of my designer gowns. More on that below!

The Studio
The studio is all set up with all the things you would need for your session and a cozy sitting area to relax. I always invite you to bring any sentimental/heirloom items you would like to incorporate in your session. If you want to just show up and have it all already in place, no worries, I’ve got everything already!
Hair/Makeup Artist
At Melinda Gilmore Photography, we believe in pampering our moms-to-be and new moms.
Our talented hair and makeup artist, Lesley, ensures you look and feel your best for your session.
Lesley works her magic for all maternity clients and offers optional services for our newborn moms, so you can relax and enjoy a stress-free experience while we create timeless memories.
